Bullfinch and blossoms brooch
Bullfinches are bud eating specialists. Their short stubby beaks are perfectly adapted to feed on fruit trees in early Spring and can eat up to 30 buds per minute.
My representation consists of the very striking and stout bullfinch nestled amongst some cherry buds and blossoms
It is made of various intricate layers for depth and the bud branch is a complimentary cherry wood with faux pearl flower centre detail. He measures a grand 7.4 cm H x 7 cm W so a nice statement size yet not too chunky and light weight to wear. The brooch is secured to a safety scroll stainless steel bar.
