Who designs and manufactures your products?
All Cherryloco products are designed and assembled by myself, Lauren Ridley at our workshop in Glasgow, Scotland. Originally, all designs were hand-cut by myself with precision using the piercing technique. However, we now use a laser cutting machine to cut out our designs. The pieces are then hand-assembled and made into a varied selection of jewellery and accessories.
What is your jewellery made from?
The main material used to make Cherryloco jewellery is acrylic. Some pieces have added Swarovski crystals. If you have an enquiry about a specific piece then get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.
What metal findings do you use?
All of our jewellery findings are nickel free and either silver plated, gold plated, black enamelled or oxidised to a gun metal shade. We can also offer solid silver findings so get in touch if this is your preferable option and it can be arranged as a custom order.
Is it possible to order a custom design?
Yes, we love to create custom designs whether it is for a special gift or an idea you have that means something to you. The possibilities are endless and you can choose your own colours, size and also your own font style if it’s a text piece. Have a look at our custom orders gallery for inspiration or contact us to discuss further.
Do you have a physical shop I can visit?
We have a stall at Sloan’s Market in Glasgow every Saturday and Sunday. We can also be found at various events throughout the UK. Take a look at our events page to find out where we’ll be.
How should I look after my purchase?
Since it is an acrylic material, it is important to wear with care and not place pressure on the piece. Jewellery which is double in thickness will be much more durable. We would recommend a base layer on all custom word necklaces. I would advise not to get items wet or wear in the shower to avoid chain tarnish. A silver polishing cloth will brighten up the chains if dulled over time and also acetone nail polish remover will clean the plastic of any dirt or dust. If you happen to get scratches on your acrylic item, a plastic polish such as xeropol would be ideal to use. Avoid any chemicals such as perfume deodorant or hairspray on items which contain Swarovski crystals.
