A large, brightly coloured moth, the garden tiger is on the wing towards the end of the summer, during July and August. It is a night-flying moth of scrub-covered sand dunes, woodland edges, wet meadows, parks and gardens. The striking caterpillars are large, black and covered in long, dense, black and ginger hairs and they are commonly called ‘Woolly Bears’. They feed on stinging nettles, dock leaves and many garden plants.
This design is cut from many little pieces carefully hand assembled from marble and gloss acrylic. It is made from three layers with the middle layer acting as a platform for the top wings and head adding a clever element of depth to the piece.There are engraved and hand inked sections too. This striking beautiful moth measures 7 cm in width – the brooch is secured to a scroll brooch fastening and the necklace is suspended from an 18 inch black plated curb chain.

He is made from two layers of shimmer pearl white, mother of pearl, marble and gloss acrylic with engraved hand inked details, bright yellow and Swarovski jet crystal eyes.Jareth carries a crystal ball charm, heat formed to add a 3D element made from clear star glitter acrylic.
